We do not accept insurance. We do accept HSA and flex spending.
What are your fees?
My fee for a 50-minute individual session is $185 and $250 for a Gottman couples session. I offer weekly or every other week slots.
Wondering- Why is counseling so expensive?
Good question. Our practice will always celebrate more people having access to therapy. With that being said, what many people do not realize is that the therapy field has changed drastically for most therapists.
Many therapists are now are paid half, oftentimes less than half the amount they used to while working higher caseloads. As a practice, we believe that therapists having their own oxygen masks by being in a place of thriving and not burnout is good for society. Our practice continues to push and advocate for ways that accessibility does not have to mean burnout for therapists.
We also completely understand not everyone can afford private pay. If this is your story, always feel free to reach out and we will provide referrals to small businesses that fairly pay therapists and accept insurance.
Why Don’t you accept insurance?
Good question. We are passionate about continuing to advocate on a larger level for insurance to cover more services— most insurance companies reimburse half what therapists are used to being paid, require a diagnosis to provide services, which ends up dictating the way therapy goes (as of now there are no diagnoses covered like “grief” or “relational healing”). As a practice, we save money and energy by not accepting insurance, ensuring we are able to provide you with the attentive, focused and refreshed care you deserve!
Join us in advocating on a larger level- for your mental health services to be more fully covered by insurance companies!
**As is a value of our practice, we deeply care about making mental health more accessible.
If these rates financially do not work for you now- I still invite you to sign up to stay up to date with new and innovative releases to make mental health more accessible- coming soon:)
Do You Offer In-Person or Virtual?
We currently offer virtual only.
Good Faith Estimate
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good FaithEstimate, you can dispute the bill.
Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call the Colorado Division of Insurance at 303-894-7490 or 1-800-930-3745.
